Devotional: His laws written on our minds

I've been going through Hebrews with the Bible Study that I lead. I've done studies of Hebrews quite a few times and it never gets old. This week we finished chapter 10. It has this beautiful verse that describes what God has done for believers because of Jesus' death and resurrection. Read through the verse from chapter 10, then the other verses and see what idea is being represented. Hebrews 10:16 ESV – 16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord:  I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds ," Jeremiah 31:33 ESV – 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD:   I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts .  And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Hebrews 8:10 ESV – 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord:  I will put my laws into their...

Carrie Cotten is a friend (and another Christian Mommy Writer) whose name you may recognize from previous posts. I've done the Thrive North Carolina Homeschool Conference table with her the last two years. She has two other amazing book series, and because she likes to keep people guessing, she's now delved into the Christian Mafia Romance world. Yes it's clean and yes it's very faith filled. Read my review below: Made Like the Moon by Carrie Cotten is a Christian Mafia romance and it is amazing. There is nothing like the darkness to make the light shine brighter. Grace Goodwin is an accident prone missionary on vacation when she gets mistaken for an assassin by mafia and drug cartels around the world. She soon finds herself running for her life across the globe. One very handsome mafia enforcer, Rafael Moretti, doesn’t know ...

I've had the privilege to be on Mandi Blake's ARC team for a number of her books and I love how she shows romance amid difficult life situations while pointing to Christ. Though I've not read anything by Tasha Hackett before now, I have to say I love how this book came together! Read my review below. The Emma Special by Mandi Blake and Tasha Hacket is a Christian romcom that I adored from page one when the handsome James gave the fairy dressed Emma a ride.  Emma works hard to make ends meet and does an assortment of jobs to pay the bills, but life is a struggle with her knee injury and mom who treats her terribly. Yet Emma is sunshine everywhere she goes.  Emma was James’s high school crush, and when Emma takes a job at his law firm those feelings are renewed and amplified. Things get even more complicated when he offers a marriage of convenience as a solution to provide insurance for her knee surgery.  The set up is perfect for silly and serious moments that prope...
