Love Undercover by Mandi Blake delivers a powerful story of redemption that will resonate deeply with Christian romantic suspense readers. This is an unlikely love story done beautifully, with emotional depth and spiritual truth woven throughout.


Zach Wilson was imprisoned for abducting Lauren Vincent, yet she becomes the very person who extends forgiveness to him. What begins as an unlikely friendship slowly transforms into something deeper as Lauren's Christ-like love creates space for healing and change. Fans of the Love in Blackwater Series will enjoy seeing familiar faces, though this book works perfectly as a standalone.


This presents a stunning picture of God's redemptive power. The grumpy/sunshine dynamic between hardened Zach and Lauren who radiates Christ’s love works wonderfully. Lauren shines as a character who truly lives out her faith. She doesn't just talk about Christ's love; she embodies it in every interaction. Watching Zach's transformation unfold through her influence is both moving and authentic. The romance feels impossible at the start, which makes it all the more satisfying when these two broken people find healing together.


The story opens in a dark place. Zach begins as a hard, seemingly irredeemable character, which may challenge some readers. Lauren also experiences recollections of her abduction and faces another dangerous situation later in the book. Readers sensitive to these elements should be aware, though these difficult moments ultimately serve the redemptive arc powerfully.


I highly recommend Love undercover for Christian romantic suspense readers who appreciate deep themes of forgiveness and transformation alongside their romance.

  A couple of weeks ago I returned from a fabulous time with some of my favorite people at the Christian Mommy Writer's retreat! We have around 100 of us scattered around the world, though we're primarily in the USA, and it's such an amazing group of authors who are navigating juggling family life, serving the Lord, and glorifying Him in our writing. Many of the books I review and recommend are by these amazing ladies. At the retreat we had classes where we heard from a number of different authors who spoke on our writing craft, marketing, and balancing all of our jobs. One of the most special times we had each day was our morning devotional and worship time. We also spent plenty of time catching up in person on life and writing, sharing ideas, and of course writing. Review of Sowing Hope by Heather Wood

  My review of Sowing Hope: Sowing Hope by Heather Wood will take you on a journey as you follow along with Patrick Gallagher in 1836 on his path from Maryland to Missouri to work with Elijah Lovejoy a famous abolitionist (a real historical figure). Along the way you’ll also meet Anna Markland and find out the mysteries she holds as their lives intersect. This book places you right in the action—including the hardships of the time, difficulties for abolitionists and black Americans, and the spiritual battle that took place among it all as Heather Wood weaves together an excellent Christian Historical Fiction story that is filled with so much fact and many real people that it’s hard to imagine her fictional characters weren’t really there. And yes, her story has a sweet romance too. One of my favorite aspects of a Heather Wood book is always the faith threaded throughout.   My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 ESV Recently my husband put up a temporary fence for our cows to allow them to eat some of the nice green grass in our yard. I should have prefaced this by saying I'm a city girl and 23 years ago my husband "Green Acre'd" me to rural Tennessee. Then we bought land and it was too much to mow, so our neighbor said, "Get some cows and I'll help you when you need it." So here we are on 17 or so acres with a few cows and donkeys. (the cows in the distance are our neighbors)  Back to the story of the fence. With the field drying out he thought it would be a great idea to give them some extra grass. He set up the fence, got a bucket of feed, and lured them over. For the three in the bottom picture, it took little coaxing.
