I Am who I Am - Bible Study

Christian, do you want to know who you are? Get to know who God is.

Isaiah 40:28 ESV - Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

When you know more of who God is, you'll understand how great your sin is in light of His holiness.

1 Peter 1:16 ESV - Since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."

When you know more of who God is, His love for you takes on so much more value and meaning.

Psalm 18:2 ESV - 2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 62:6-7 ESV - 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. 7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.

Revelation 7:10-12 ESV - And crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen."

Christian, get to know God

Feeling like you are not enough? Feeling overwhelmed by life? Spend more time with God, not less. Turn to Him when you feel helpless. Read His word-not just what others say about His word (including me). Talk to Him. Know the fullness of who He is (Old & New Testament) Cry to Him. Let the Holy Spirit intercede for you in conjunction with Jesus. Romans 8:26-27 (ESV) Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. Hebrews 7:22-25 (ESV) This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant. 23 The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, 24 but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. 25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Christ is worthy and His greatness brings meaning to your salvation. Glory to God!
