I Am who I Am - Bible Study

Image
Christian, do you want to know who you are? Get to know who God is. Isaiah 40:28 ESV - Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. When you know more of who God is, you'll understand how great your sin is in light of His holiness. 1 Peter 1:16 ESV - Since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." When you know more of who God is, His love for you takes on so much more value and meaning. Psalm 18:2 ESV - 2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 62:6-7 ESV - 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. 7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Revelation 7:10-12 ESV - And crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the thr...

For Such a Time as This - Bible Study

Image
And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14b (ESV) I've just finished studying Esther with BSF and it is a beautiful story of the things God will do through us when we follow His lead. Esther, an orphan of no consequence changed the course of a kingdom and saved her people. She fasted and prayed before acting and was wise in her dealings with the king and Haman. She planned her steps. Christian, where has God placed you? Even things you think are small can make a huge difference. You may never see seeds you plant grow, but trust God to bring the harvest. Your success doesn't depend on your abilities, they depend on God's and through His Spirit in you He can accomplish the seemingly impossible. Matthew 9:37-38 (ESV) 37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." Joshua 1:9 ESV - ...

Review of Head Over Wheels by B.R. Goodwin

Image
Head Over Wheels by B. R. Goodwin is a delightful Christian romcom. This book delivers everything I want in the genre with charm, humor, and heart. Brooke McBride is a hairdresser desperate to leave her small town, and a game show cash prize could be her ticket out. The catch? She needs to be married to compete, and she just broke up with her boyfriend. Enter Owen Jones, a baseball player sidelined by a potentially career-ending injury who has been pining for Brooke since high school but never escaped the friend zone. Their marriage of convenience setup launches a story packed with tropes I love: best friends, game show contestants, and the slow burn of realizing what was there all along. B. R. Goodwin has a gift for balancing laugh-out-loud moments with genuine emotional depth and faith struggles. Brooke and Owen's chemistry crackles on every page, and their banter had me grinning constantly. The nicknames "Babe" and "Ruth" are absolutely adorable. I also lov...

Review of The Colonel's Lady by Laura Frantz

Image
The Colonel's Lady by Laura Frantz is a riveting Christian historical romance that delivers everything fans of the genre could hope for. Set against the backdrop of a Kentucky wilderness fort during the Revolutionary War, this story masterfully weaves together romance, faith, and the sacrifices of those who gave everything to build a nation. Roxanna Rowan is an officer's daughter and confirmed spinster who finds herself in an impossible situation when she meets Colonel Cassius McLinn. He's a gruff, unfiltered commander with little patience for niceties and even less use for faith. The tension between them crackles from page one, fueled both by their clashing personalities and the constant danger surrounding the isolated fort. As they navigate threats from outside the stockade walls and the battle raging within their own hearts, readers get a front-row seat to one of the best grumpy/sunshine romances in Christian historical fiction. The chemistry between Roxanna and Cassiu...

Guest Blogger Q&A: Erica Dansereau

Image
As part of my blog in 2026, I plan to include a guest Author Q&A once a month. This month I have the pleasure of introducing my dear friend and fellow Christian Mommy Writer, Erica Dansereau. 2 summers ago, I met her at our CMW retreat and I felt like we were instant friends.  I love her heart for the Lord and to glorify Him in her writing.  She is so real and down to earth and I know that you will love her and her writing.  She currently has 4 books out and I've read all 4 and love them. Two she coauthored with another amazing Christian author. I've also written a review blog on her two solo authored d books and have included the link at the bottom. 1. Erica, tell us a bit about yourself! Where you’re from, your family, hobbies, favorite things—anything fun you’d like to share! Thank you for having me! I’m a native Idahoan and reside in the Boise area with my husband, our two kids, and one dog. Outside of reading and writing, I love going on adventures, whethe...
